What a race really costs
entryfee.run lists the entry price of running events, mostly in the Netherlands. Each price shows the page it came from and the date we checked it.
Why this site exists
On most entry platforms the price sits behind a form. You pick an event, a distance and a date, you hand over your name and your email, and only then does a number appear. Comparing two races becomes work, so almost nobody does it.
The organiser's own page usually states the fee openly. This site reads it there, writes it down, and puts it next to every other race. Nothing is sold here: no ads, no entry commission, no sponsored rows. The link in each row goes straight to the organiser.
How we get the prices
A scraper runs once a day. For each race it fetches the organiser's page, or the entry platform's public data where the platform states its live checkout prices, and records what the page says: the base fee, and any insurance, chip, licence, donation or handling fee stated beside it. Money is stored to the cent.
A price is only kept with the exact sentence the page states it in. Prices that look implausible, or that no quote backs, are flagged and never shown. Nothing is ever overwritten: every check writes a new row, which is why a race page can show you how its price moved.
How far to trust it
We never take a price second hand from another calendar. Even so, an organiser can change a fee an hour after we read it, and some pages are edited by hand and go stale. So every row carries its check date and links to its source: the organiser's page is the truth, and this list is a fast way to find it.
